in New York City. I had such a fabulous time! I also recently had the great good fortune to meet multi-gold record goth-n-rollers from Finland, The 69 Eyes, whose 20 year career is still in high gear with a new distributor here in the US, making their CDs available world-wide. In July 2009 they released a brand-new song and music video inspired, in part, by the character of Nicki Styx from my novel, DEAD GIRLS ARE EASY. When I had the chance to see them in person, I jumped at it, and got each and every one them to sign a copy of my book. What a fun evening! Here are some earlier photos from the 2010 Romance Writers of America conference, where I had great fun as one of the presenters for the RITA Awards. (May I have the envelope, please?) I had even more fun hanging out with my friends afterward, as well as attending various publisher parties, workshops and booksignings. I also had a great time at the 2009 Romantic Times Booklovers Convention - met a lot of readers, signed a lot of books, and enjoyed a different costume party every night! I went to a Faery Ball, a Vampire Ball, and a Dusk 'til Dark cocktail party, and generally hung out with a lot of cool people. :-) Here's a few photos: Here's a home video my husband took on his camera of me accepting the 2008 RITA Award for DEAD GIRLS ARE EASY. you'll have to turn the speaker volume WAY up to even hope to hear it!
